STEM Fall Event Part 2: Coding

Picture
REGISTER
When: Saturday, December 7, 2019
No coding experience required! Laptops strongly encouraged. Computational thinking is an emphasis in the NGSS standards, and coding in the physics and physical science classrooms are great ways to include it. Participants will use text-based coding to make their own version of a popular video game while building models for motion and force. Coding physics is a satisfying pracitce that allows students to build understanding of more complex problems even if they’re not confident in their math skills. You'll be surprised at how much physics you and your students can do with a little code!

Please arrive about 15 minutes early to complete registration and enjoy some light refreshments.
After the event, please feel welcome to join us for lunch at a local hotspot to debrief and network with your new colleagues.

Location: Haas Hall at the Jones Center

Presenter:
Paul Wolf (Haas Hall High School)
